The United States domestic intelligence and security service-The Federal Bureau Of Investigation (FBI) in its investigation has called out the victims of the defunct QuadrigaCX to fill up the form through a questionnaire and mention their concerns if they are the sufferers. The FBI has asked the information through the latest announcement on May 3rd.
The initiative is a part of the ongoing investigation in which along with FBI, the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI), the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, and the Department of Justice’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section are also involved to assist the public and to recover the inaccessible amount of over $145, which the authorities apparently aren’t able to fetch out due to its founders unexpected death and loss of keys along with him.
The Canadian Cryptocurrency Exchange, previously filed for creditor protection due to the insolvency of the exchange in compliance with the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) on Feb. 1.
As per the material on the FBI’s website, the information is highly important and sensitive to proceed with the investigation in order to get the missing amount and to make a note of the potential victims who would be contacted later for further facts and communications.
The questionnaire form required former victim details so that real conditions can be analyzed and in a way, the authorities can able to identify whether the users still have the access of their hot wallets and old transaction IDs via multiple exchange addresses.
The form asks the personal details along with the user’s experience with the bankrupted cryptocurrency exchange.
