A Digital Bollywood Of Your Favourite Actors And Movies

NFTs are fast becoming a household name similar to Bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies. Although initially conceptualized simply as a transaction medium, blockchain has expanded into so much more, and with NFTs making billions of dollars they are becoming a defining feature of blockchain technology. NFT, an acronym for a non-fungible token, is a relatively recent development that allows people to digitize items on the blockchain.

Made popular by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey during the sale of his first-ever tweet for $2.9M, NFTs have seen increasing use-cases, especially over the past year. Since then, millions of dollars in NFTs have been minted and the craze does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

Among the countries increasingly becoming prominent for blockchain use, India is high up on the list. More citizens are warming up to it and despite government antagonism, it is being widely welcomed. Regular people and celebrities alike are dipping their toes into the water and narrowing the gap between themselves.

Bolly Heroes is an NFT-based platform looking to further bridge that gap. In further development of NFTs and by extension blockchain technology in the country, Bolly Heroes seeks to develop an NFT ecosystem where fans of Bollywood will be able to purchase scenes from popular movies as well as celebrity representations on the blockchain.

Building a Parallel Bollyverse

Bolly Heroes is building a parallel world in accordance with the concordance with Bollywood called Bollyverse. To fill this universe, Bolly Heroes will have three separate NFT categories namely; Legend NFTs, Hero NFTs, and Real NFTs. Special among these are the Real NFTs which will be celebrity-approved and be a link between the stars and their fans. With celebrity autographs already selling for thousands, NFTs endorsed by them could sell for even more.

Team Bolly Heroes, described the game as a platform where the community may develop stories based on the characters featured in the Bollyverse. In order to show appreciation for the community members who buy early NFTs, he stated they will be rewarded with a variety of creative initiatives, collaborations, and income sharing, among other advantages.

Additionally, fans may create their own characters using character NFTs from the ‘Bollyverse’. In addition, Bollybabies offers users the opportunity to be creative by mixing and joining various NFTs.

The registration event was slated to happen between the 7th and 15th of September and gave users an opportunity to purchase rare NFTs.The public sale for Legend NFTs is targeted for 30th September, later this month.

Indian Celebrities Are Taking The Plunge

This is not the first popular entry blockchain has made in the country. Acclaimed actor Amitabh Bachchan recently announced that he would be launching his NFTs as well. Known for a wide range of movies inside and outside the country including the Netflix thriller Badla, the actor is one of the first Indian celebrities to take a chance on blockchain technology.

Sholay signed by him, lines of ‘Madhushala’ told by him with backstories, and rare digital gems from the past are all being rolled out on the BeyondLife.club website under the Bachchan NFTs collection.
