XRP News: Binance US Hires Former Ripple Executive as New CEO

The operator of US-based spin-off of Binance cryptocurrency and digital asset exchange has appointed former Ripple executive as its new Chief Executive Officer. The aforementioned development is declared by the exchange formally on July 2.

It is to be noted that the operator of lately commenced Binance US, BAM Trading Services has appointed former liquidity management expert at Ripple, Catherine Coley for supervising the commencement of Binance United States and subsequently take BAM’s market to North America.

Notably, Coley served as Head of XRP Institutional Liquidity, subsequent to joining Ripple in 2017.  Particularly, her most up to date position before Binance United States is Head of XRP Institutional Liquidity. The newly hired CEO’s professional experience includes forex expertise with 5 years at Morgan Stanley. As per her LinkedIn profile, she also holds one year experience at Silicon Valley Bank.

Presently, the largest cryptocurrency and digital asset exchange by adjusted daily trading volume, Binance has formally declared the initiation of Binance US in partnership with BAM on June 13. Binance afterwards restricted services to United States-based users in the recently updated terms of use on June 14.

Meanwhile, at the press time, Ripple [XRP] is changing hands at $0.4 a pop with a market capitalization of $17.03 Billion, as per coinmarketcap. Moreover, XRP is showing a 24-hour gain of 1.72 percent at the time of reporting, according to coinmarketcap. On the other hand, Binance’s native coin, BNB is changing hands at a price of $32.6 with a market cap of $4.6 Billion, at press time. Furthermore, BNB is showing a gain of 2.32 percent, as per coinmarketcap.
